The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP) had tendered 15 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in June 2018. It had fixed ₹5/kWh as the upper tariff cap for this tender.
CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder by quoting the L1 tariff of ₹3.64/kWh for 3,000 KWp.
The grid-connected rooftop solar projects will be developed under RESCO model. The successful bidder will have nine months from the date of award of contract to commission the project. In this tender, NREDCAP has specified that all modules utilized for these projects must be made in India.
In response to the floated tender, NREDCAP received seven bids out of which four qualified. The other winners are Azure Power Rooftop (Genco) Pvt. Ltd, Rich Phytocare Pvt.Ltd and TEPSOL Solar Resco Pvt Ltd.
Apart from the project development, the successful bidders will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the projects for a duration of 25 years after commissioning.
NREDCAP has been trying to promote rooftop solar in order to meet a portion of the increasing energy needs in Andhra Pradesh.
