Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has awarded 6 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Koraput, Odisha to Azure Power.
Azure Power had quoted a tariff of ₹3.13/kWh to develop the 6 MW grid-connected solar PV project. It was tendered on behalf of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
The 6 MW grid-connected solar PV project will be developed over a land area of approximately 30 acres within the estate area of HAL, located in Odisha’s Koraput division at Sunabeda.
HAL, Koraput division will enter into power purchase agreement (PPA) for the purchase of solar power from the selected developer at the lowest (L1) tariff for a period of 25 years. The power generated from the project will help fulfil HAL’s power requirement and is a step towards the company’s target of installing 50 MW renewable energy.
