AMARON Launches EV Charging Stations In Tirupati

Amara Raja, among the largest battery manufacturers in India, announced it has installed electric vehicle (EV) battery charging and swapping stations along with a fleet of electric autos in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

The initiative was taken in collaboration with Tirupati Municipal Corporation as a part of its smart city program.

The Hyderabad-based company has added a Lithium Ion battery pack manufacturing facility of 500 Megawatt Hour capacity at its Tirupati manufacturing unit. 

To enable proliferation of e-mobility, Amara Raja is offering Lithium ion battery packs, charging stations and fleet operation solutions as an end-to-end package to its customers

The Rs 8,700 crore Amara Raja Group has presence in production of lead acid batteries under the AMARON brand, power conversion products, sheet metal products, precision components, electronic products, infrastructure development and food processing. The company employs 15,000 people.
