PV module manufacturer Solaria has said that it will start selling its new Pure Black PowerXT 400 W solar panel in the U.S. market later this quarter.
The monocrystalline module has an efficiency rating of 20.2% and higher power density, according to the manufacturer. It measures 1644mm x 1204mm x 40mm and weighs 22 kg.
Sub-strings are interconnected in parallel, dramatically lowering the shading losses and increasing energy yield. Solaria PowerXT solar panels performed 37% better than Competitor 1 and 45% better than Competitor 2 over an actual 70-day outdoor test.
It has a black anodized aluminum frame and 2.84 mm of tempered glass with anti-reflection coating.
The all-black panels will be sold in DC and AC versions by Solaria and will be equipped with a IQ7A microinverter from U.S. inverter specialist Enphase. The microinverter has peak power output of 366 volt-ampere and a peak efficiency rating of 97%.
