A New AI-Based Battery Innovation From InoBat Auto

InoBat Auto

The world’s first ‘intelligent’ electric vehicle battery has been launched to the world by European EV battery producer, InoBat Auto.

Through artificial intelligence and innovative process technology InoBat rapidly optimizes existing cell chemistry and evaluates new battery innovations, accelerating them from the laboratory to the factory floor.

This will reduce the cost and time to deliver the latest battery innovations.

This technology enables InoBat to reduce its dependence on cobalt, in addition to also boosting energy density to a goal of 330 Wh/kg and 1,000 Wh/L by the end of 2023.

They provides car manufacturers with the flexibility to tailor the cell to ensure differentiation and continuous improvement of battery chemistry at the highest quality and the lowest possible cost.

The company is developing a world-first AI-driven battery research centre and production line in Voderady, Slovakia, which will begin producing its first intelligent batteries in 2021.

InoBat Auto is also advancing plans to build a €1 billion ($1.2bn) 10 GWh Gigafactory, which would have the potential to generate 240,000 intelligent batteries in 2025.

Both facilities will be strategically located 40 km from the capital, Bratislava, and in close proximity to nine major automakers, including Peugeot, KIA and Jaguar Land Rover.

Global vehicle makers are preparing to launch hundreds of new electric car models over the next few years, responding to pressure from regulators who continue to tighten restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles.
