Amp Energy India has commissioned one of many larger behind-the-meter solar tasks for L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd.
The metro rail is a public-private partnership (PPP) project between the Telangana authorities and infrastructure firm Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
Amp Energy has put in 7.805 MW solar plant for this metro project which will produce solar energy to its 24 stations and a pair of depots in town.
The energy buying agreement (PPA) with Amp is for 25 years. The project can generate 11,300 MWh of solar energy in a year and will meet 15 percent of the metro rails total electricity requirement. The solar plant was commissioned on December 26, 2020.
