Raft Motors, a Mumbai-based EV company, is about to release its newest e-scooter. Customers may reserve the Indus NX starting November 2nd, which Raft Motors claims will have a battery range of 480 km on a single charge, making it India’s longest-range electric scooter.
They are able to attain such a great range because to the Indus NX’s dual-battery option.
With a capacity of 48V 135 Ah, the stationary battery beneath the foot-board provides a battery range of 325 miles on a single charge. If the rider completes 325 km and runs out of power, they do not need to charge it right away since their is another portable battery with a capacity of 48V 65Ah, which gives a range of 156 km on a single charge.
When the fixed battery runs out of charge, the rider simply flips the micro circuit breaker (MCB), and the EV begins to run on the portable battery.
According to Raft Motors, the Indus NX will be offered in three variants:
- Base: A portable 48V 65Ah lithium-ion battery with a range of 156 km (Ex-showroom Price-Rs 1,18,500).
- Mid-range: A portable 48V 135Ah battery with a range of up to 324 km (Ex-showroom price-Rs 1,91,976).
- High-end: A dual-battery option with a 9.6 KWH capacity that can provide a range of up to 480 km on a single charge (Ex-showroom price-Rs 2,57,431).
All these variants are backed by an in-house assembled lithium-ion battery with a warranty of 1 lakh km (three years), which Raft Motors has been developing since its inception.
