Ayana Renewables Acquires ACME’s Jodhpur Solar Project

Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited announced the acquisition of a 100 percent ownership investment in a 250 MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) energy plant constructed and operated by ACME Solar Holdings Private Limited (ACME).

The Jodhpur project is linked to the interstate transmission system and delivers electricity to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The company is owned by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), announced that it has now developed and managed close to 3 GWac of renewable energy as a result of this agreement.

Ayana was founded in 2018 by the CDC Group and is focused on the development of solar and wind energy projects in India. It is also backed by the CDC Group, a government-owned development finance agency based in the United Kingdom.

Ayana was also a winner in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction for 1,200 MW of wind-solar hybrid power projects connected to India’s interstate transmission system (ISTS) (Tranche-IV) on a construct, own, and operate basis. It was awarded 450 MW of capacity at a cost of $2.34 ($0.031) per kWh.
