Amazon India and TVS Motor Company have announced a cooperation on the deployment of electric two and three-wheelers, which will aid in the advancement of electric mobility in India.
As part of this agreement, a fleet of electric two- and three-wheelers will be used for Amazon’s last-mile deliveries. The two firms will also trial TVS Motor’s EV solutions around the country through partner bases and delivery partners.
In 2020, the e-commerce giant stated that by 2025, its fleet of delivery vans in India would comprise 10,000 EVs. These EVs will be added to Amazon’s global pledge of 100,000 EVs by 2030.
TVS Motor is prepared for the B2B industry with electric two and three-wheeler product alternatives, as well as an ecosystem of linked services and alternate ownership. Furthermore, the two firms will collaborate to investigate EV use cases for various Amazon business units for network and logistical requirements.
