VoltUp & BSNL Team Up To Provide Battery Swapping Facility

VoltUp

VoltUp, a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) company, has teamed with BSNL to provide battery swapping stations for electric vehicles around the nation. The cooperation will first set up battery switching stations in four sites around Gurugram, enabling an infrastructure of over 150 charging ports, the business said in a statement.

It will be expanded to 30 places around Haryana, as well as large towns with significant automotive density, to encourage last-mile connection agents to utilize electric two- and three-wheelers on a regular basis.

For battery swapping to be a success story in India, a dense network of charging stations is required. While the firm is starting with four outlets in Gurugram, they plan to expand the collaboration to additional cities by the end of the year.

With the addition of new locations in Gurugram, VoltUp now has over 110 stations with over 1,300 charging docks across ten cities and eight states. By the end of 2024, VoltUp aims to increase its number of stations to around 2,000.
