Climate change is just one symptom of a larger problem: Earth overshoot. Earth overshoot is when humans consume more resources and produce more waste than the Earth can regenerate. This is especially true for people in rich countries, who consume far more than their fair share of the Earth’s resources. If we continue to live as if we have multiple Earths, we will eventually create an uninhabitable planet.
