NTPC Limited, representing NTPC-SAIL Power Company (NSPCL), is seeking proposals for the establishment of a 15 MW floating solar project in Bhilai, Chattisgarh. The project will be situated at Maroda reservoir-1 of NSPCL.
Based on the tender guidelines, the floating solar project requires the comprehensive design of a solar power system that connects to the grid. This includes the planning of various aspects such as civil, electrical, and mechanical systems. Detailed plans for foundations, diagrams, layouts, and calculations are necessary for all facilities. Additionally, the project includes the establishment of a floating solar system and the installation of modules within a specific area.
The project includes a three-year period for operating and maintaining the solar project, as well as an annual agreement for maintaining essential equipment. NSPCL plans to finance the project using a combination of equity funds and loans. The deadline for submitting bids is February 2, 2024.
Only suppliers from class I and class II local suppliers are permitted to participate in this tender. Bidders must have prior experience in designing, supplying, and overseeing the construction and implementation of solar projects with a total capacity of 12 MW or more.
To qualify for consideration, one of the projects must have a capacity of at least 10 MW and have been operational for at least six months prior to the bid opening. Additionally, the project must have a valuation of Rs 930 million or more and have been operational for at least one year before the bid opening.
In order to bid on this project, bidders need to have completed at least one electrical substation with a voltage level of 33 kV or higher. The substation should have been in operation for at least a year before the bid opening date.
